My new Accuquilt Go! and LCQA Block 11

I'm still playing catch up on the Layer Cake Quilt Along.  Today my boyfriend attended a body building competition so I got the entire evening to myself.  He got to meet his idol, and I got to sew.  We're both pretty happy today :).  I had some issues putting together block 11 for the LCQA.  I ended up having my middle "E" pieces being too long and having to cut them down.  I'm pretty happy with my finished result though:

It's a tad 'wonky' but I think it looks fine.  I only have one more block to put together for this quilt along.  It's crazy to me that it's already done!  I feel like it just started.  I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

I also have some other fun to share :)  I got an Accuquilt Go! fabric cutter!  Yay!!

I've been thinking about getting one for quite awhile now.  I have a disability that really affects my ability to cut some things.  I figured a fabric cutter would help.  I found a great deal on the mix and match starter set, and I had my tax return money - so I decided to go for it!  It came with 9 dies including the one that comes with the Go itself.

I just want to forget all my other projects and cut fabric!  So far it seems like it'll be exactly what I need to help me on the days that rotary cutting isn't going to work.  I think the only downside to this is going to be wanting to buy every die that goes with it.  I've already got a few more ordered.

Well that's it for me today. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

I'm almost done with my blocks too...now on to the hard part of putting it together! The sashing fabric I purchased isn't going to work, so I'm trying to think of something else. Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out!
