Well the 26 degree weather and horrible roads have had me cuddled up on the couch with my heated blanket today. I did manage to get something done tonight though. I've been working on my next block for my Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt.
I absolutely love the color orange! I was really excited about this fabric when I bought it, and it turned out really pretty with the fairy frost.
So someone pointed out the black strings on one of my earlier posts. They are basting threads and you don't take them out until the end. I'm probably more paranoid about my stuff than some people and I don't want to take them out until the last minute. I have 49 of these to make, and only 3 done. I think they will keep their shape much better if I keep the papers and basting in.

In honor of my orange block I thought I'd post a picture of my big orange kitty!
This is his usual spot waiting for me to feed him while I'm sewing. Well I'm now off to finish some paper work and hopefully get to bed. Night!
